Today I would like to raise your awareness about the toxins you and your family are exposed to on a daily basis.  Food, water, and personal care products are some of the ways we are getting exposed to toxins on a daily basis.

In a study featured on the Environmental Working Group website newborn umbilical cord blood has shown over 200 chemicals.  A preservative called “parabens” is getting attention recently, which is in 85% of all body lotions.  Parabens are actually a hormone disrupter in the body, and are linked to breast cancer.  We used to think of the skin as a barrier, however, now we know that the skin absorbs the chemicals we put on it.

We need to  raise our awareness about all chemicals that we are being exposed to and start reading labels to avoid polyparabens  and methylparaben in the lotions we put on our body.

Revitilize Your Energy

The Three Thumps technique by Donna Eden is one of my favorite ways to energize in a quick pinch.  I’ve not only used it for self-care, but also, at the end of a Reiki session to help my client  “wake up”.    It boosts the immune system, stimulates energy flow and increases strength and vitality.

With your finger tips, you will vigorously and alternatively  tap 3 acupuncture/energy points on the body for about 30 seconds each  while taking slow deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

The 1^st location is the K-27 points in the notch between your breast bone and collar bone.

The 2^nd location is to thump the thymus gland (like Tarzan) which is the upper part of the breast bone.

The 3^rd location is to thump the spleen neurolymphatic points located in line with our nipples, just under the breasts and over the rib cage.

I’m delighted and honored to be one of Nancy’s guest moderators.   My topic next Sunday evening, Playing with Money, is one I look forward to sharing and that I hope you’ll join me for.

For many of us, especially lightworkers, connecting money and financial gain to what we do feels ‘off.’  And yet, there are everyday necessities like rent, food, electricity, and gasoline that require this commodity flow in our lives.    So I’ve done a little work on this myself.  And here’s some of what came out:  Imagine looking at two sides of a dollar bill (or a hundred or thousand dollar one).  One side is full of numbers, budgets, balance sheets, calculators, and spreadsheets.   The other is the soul of money, its properties, energy, how it works, what attracts it, what repels it, its role in our work, and the lessons it teaches us.   Sunday’s call will be about the soft side stuff, with a little humor, and resources to help us open the flow of abundance and prosperity to ourselves—which in turn allows us to be generous and feel good about spending it.   So, meet me next Sunday night on the Conference Call line (number below).
